The most expensive substance in the world, by cost per gram, is antimatter, estimated to cost around $62.5 trillion per gram.


Antimatter is the opposite of regular matter, with particles having the same mass but opposite electrical charges.


Producing and storing antimatter requires immense amounts of energy and specialized technology. When antimatter and matter collide, they annihilate each other, releasing a tremendous amount of energy.

Antimatter is produced in particle accelerators, like the Antimatter Factory at CERN.
